Input for output – A new monthly event in Manchester : Ways to create longevity in your music career

‘Are you an aspiring music professional? Already a gigging freelancer or artist? Or are you just curious as to the inner workings of the music business? Want to meet other gig goers and music enthusiasts? 

Well, hold onto youre AAA’s as Manchester’s freshest venue, ’33 Oldham Street’ in conjunction with networking supremos; ‘The Manchester creative Collective’ are bringing a FREE event each month.

‘Input for output’ will see a panel of music industry knowledge, unpack the intricacies and offer insight into the hectic whirl of the music world.

Tackling current issues with Q and A’s and an opportunity to network after, with a suitably cool cocktail or grab one of the drinks offers, this event will no doubt be a roaring success.

Catherine Hurley

‘For a number of years Cath worked in Online PR, Digital Marketing and Social Media Management for an extremely varied roster of new acts through to established artists, such as Ellie Goulding and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. 

Her work with new bands and artists often focused on helping them get the attention of labels and to build their fanbase. She would often be the first industry professional working with the band and would build their release strategy. 

Maxi Maxfield

A self taught musician with an esteemed career behind the drum kit, as a writer, performer and all things in between.

Having toured with bands such as U2 and The Stone Roses, in more recent years working with Ian Brown, including his recent release “Ripples”. 
And of course, not forgetting his band “Audioweb”.

A knowledge in various aspects of the business, he has a depth and understanding that we’re excited to tap
Into.

Kim Hawes

This woman has tour managed some of the industry’s notorious Rock N roll bands! 

Leaving home as a teenager to pursue a career in music, she soon became a force to be reckoned with and boasts Motörhead, Chumbawumba, Black Sabbath and Hawkwind as her former clients. 

Now an educator and author, she has an extensive career to draw her opinions and experiences from.
