Known for her emotive lyrics sinuses by love, Cambridgeshire-based pop princess Jess Stewart has just released her super fun new single ‘Heartbeat’.
Stewart jumps straight into the track with sweet-sounding vocals and suspenseful synth chimes. Her lyrics detail discovering intense feelings- that all-encompassing sensation that shocks your body: “Heart racing, palms sweating boy I can hardly speak.
Alongside the grooving beats of a drum machine, Stewart delivers and smooth, flirtatious vocal layers that close out the end of the track with vivid emotion.
Although there’s a simplistic air to the track, this new release is a certain feel-good single. I think it’s a quintessential crush-anthem and I can for sure picture this featuring in the sound track a teen romance movie. Maybe a Heartstopper feature? Loved listening to this one!
