Large Oreo milkshake (made with loads of ice cream) with cream on top and chocolate sauce served in one of those metal cups with a metal straw!
What was the exact moment you decided, “I need to start a comedy fashion podcast? And what are some of the ideas that almost made it ?
I was obsessed over what I wore on stage and what other people wore and it grew organically from there! I still would love to do some kind of snacks based podcast but there’s still time haha.
Dream music festival headliner? (Castival)
This is SUCH a tough question! OMG! I’m gonna say Jamiroquai. Ultimate party cool vibes. And amazing outfits! Jay Kay used to rock a Berghaus jacket with a cool hat back in the day. And Rihanna. I really love her dance music era filled with iconic bangers: remember We Found Love produced by Calvin Harris? So good! And she has incredible style! I actually saw her headline T in the Park years ago. Amazing! Also Earth, Wind and Fire and Kraftwerk were on the same year. It was a year for the style icons.
Will there be any videos of the podcast in the future so we can see what the guests are wearing?
There are short videos of the pod on the podcast’s Instagram page! Maybe if I can get a better laptop I’ll be able to do full videos haha. Manifesting this for the future.

Have your own “funny looks” changed since starting the podcast? Any guests inspire you to reinvent your wardrobe?
It has changed slightly ‘coz nowadays I do solo episodes sometimes which are very chill! I like to practice my radio voice while doing them and speak in quite a personal way. They’re really fun to do! Each guest inspires me in their own way it’s amazing. Erika Ehler invented the ‘sexy but sporty’ look on-stage and I love to do that too!
If you were on a night out which comedians would you invite? (Glad Rags)
I’d invite Paul McCaffrey and Rachel Fairburn (they’re the hosts of Glad Rags) because they’ve both got incredible music taste and wardrobes (both previous guests of Funny Looks!)
Do you ever get dressed up just for recording, even though it’s audio?
If I’m doing a solo episode in the house I don’t (maybe I should have lied here and said I wear an iconic CHANEL fit?) but if I’m recording with a guest I dress up as I record the video on my phone and make clips! I also take cool pics of the guest next to my SMILEY lamp. Tamsyn Kelly and me planned and co-ordinated our outfits to wear cute dresses! I also bought Jammie Dodgers as snacks and I had love heart balloons in the background ‘coz I thought that would create a millennial Alice in Wonderland aesthetic.
Which comedians would be your dream guest on the podcast and why?
That’s a tough one there are so many! She’s not a comedian but Cruella Devil (fictional character from 101 Dalmatians) I’d want to deep dive on her obsession with Dalmatians haha.
It’s a podcast mainly about performers but I would like to get on some chefs from where I work in the burger restaurant coz they always have a specific relationship with clothes – especially Crocs and the chefs clothes brand called ‘Service Works.’ I’ll need to convince them to come on. But yes, there’s loads of comedians I’d like to have on! I’d love to ask John Kearns about when he decided to start wearing the wig and the false teeth!
What would you put in a time capsule? (My Time Capsule)
An iPhone, a Big Mac (to see if it disintegrates), an IKEA stuffed bear. All essentials.
What’s your favourite fashion tip from a guest?
So hard to pick a favourite as I love everyone’s tips coz they’re personal to them. This isn’t a fashion tip and it’s more of a snack tip but Amy Matthews told me on the pod that carries about a balsamic vinegar glaze when she travels. Iconic hahaha.
Plans for the future. Any live shows etc?
I would love to do a live show for the pod! I don’t have one booked in yet. I am doing a work-in-progress at the fringe though at Monkey Barrel on the 6th August! It’s at 16:20 and is called ‘I’m a pop star but I’m working in a burger restaurant for research purposes.’
