South Yorkshire’s emotive singer/song-writer Daz Cadwallander has dropped his latest touching single ‘Lost Boy’.
Opening with his gravelly, tuneful vocals, the track details themes of losing yourself- struggling with mental health issues using alcohol and drugs as coping mechanisms. Alongside the melodies of a stripped back acoustic guitar, you are immediately hit with heartfelt and personal the track is.
Building with distant vocals echo in the background of the chorus, the track reaches a beautiful peak before closing out with simplicity.
For me, this is a very reflective song that only shows Cadwallander’s resilience both in music and personal struggles- a super touching track. I can’t wait to see what’s next for him.
