EDINBURGH FRINGE 2023 : SUNDAY 6TH AUGUST PICKS OF THE DAY

Day two of the Fringe, and had my third canceled show of the run. Seann Walsh, The Arcade and sadly Huge Davis were unable to perform. In my 12 years of coming to Edinburgh, I have never had a single show canceled so hopefully, this run of bad luck only comes in threes. Best wishes for a Huge recovery soon. Luckily I did manage to see some other brilliant shows and here are the top three picks of the day

DARKFIELD : COMA

The Darkfield Theatre Company bring another unique experience to the Edinburgh Fringe, where the public are asked to lie in a bunk bed inside a shipping container in complete darkness with just a pair of headphones for company and then let the audio and your own consciousness do the rest. A unique experience for the adventurous theatre lover.

ANIA MAGLIANA: I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU’VE DONE THIS

Another sell-out run for one of the hottest comedians of the decade. Ania discusses sexuality dating and one bad haircut. A great storyteller and performer, who has many of her colleagues in attendance. She is certainly a real comedian’s comedian.

PIERRE NOVELLIE : WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?

One of the best-dressed men at the Fringe (even whilst performing in a sweltering hot basement). Pierre delivers plenty of revelations, including the joys of going to a Persian barbers as well as some of the finest urinal observations that I’ve witnessed. Without any spoilers, this has one of the best endings to a show that I’ve seen this year with just tears of laughter. A must-see show.
