EDINBURGH FRINGE: PICKS OF THE DAY : SATURDAY 6TH AUGUST 2022

The Fringe was in full swing after a few days of previews. Saturday in Edinburgh has a history of raucous audience members, stumbling into comedy shows from their night out. But luckily tonight the dick ratio was very low and I got to witness some of the finest comedians at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Maisie Adam ‘Buzzed’

Maisie has only been doing comedy for five years and has already found herself on some of the biggest comedy shows on TV. Her new show Buzz showcases her warm, relaxed delivery of events of the last few years including proposals, football and getting an interesting haircut. Don’t forget to stay right to the end.

Sheeps: ‘ Ten Years,Ten Laughs’

The trio: Darran Johnson, Al Roberts and Liam Williams have been away for some time working on their own projects. They have reformed for a short run to perform once again some of their finest sketches, including the straight man sketch, forgetting the lines and the infamous three cowboy scene. Some of the smartest writing you will see at the Fringe, and marvelously silly.A must for Abba fans.

Hal Cruttenden: ‘It’s Best You Hear It From Me’.

Hal, has created a personal show that covers the pandemic, sexuality and his love of dogs. He is a sheep in wolves clothing, as his loveable uncle persona disguises a darker, wicked sense of humour that delivers some unexpected punchlines that raised the roof.

Jordan Brookes: ‘This Is What Just Happens’

The 2019 champion returns with a new show and a new Mr Nice guy persona. The all new Jordan is delighted to chat to the audience and even poses for photos. Though just don’t call him a name as he may not be able to shake it. He will take you to places that many wouldn’t dare, a unique triumph.
