It went off last night, ELBOW played Manchesters legendary Oldham Street Venue Night and day Cafe.
This show was only available to humans that were lucky enough to be pulled out of a hat after donations were welcomed toward the www.passportbacktoourroots.org lockdown initiative that was launched to support the survival of grassroots music venues during lockdown.
Major artists support the venues that provide a crucial platform as the first rung on the UK’s world-renowned touring circuit, championing the fundraising campaigns and pledging to ‘return to their roots’ by playing a show at their chosen grassroots venue at a point in the future when ‘normal service’ can resume for live music.
We weren’t lucky enough to be picked out but we thought we would share some fan experiences from the night. More will be added through the day.
Well it was all magnificent tonight seeing @Elbow at @nightanddaycafe also did some celeb spotting as even recognised Thom from @LotteryWinners in the crowd, nice bloke as well… pic.twitter.com/nFvwD2DPzJ
