Exclusive Video Premiere: The Garage Flowers, Red Hot Military Audition
The Garage Flowers are Joe Capaldi (vocals, guitar), Jonny Webber (guitar), Mike Serapinas (bass, backing vocals) and Norea Persson (drums, backing vocals). The band have been making waves since Joe and Jonny moved to London in 2017 when, disillusioned with the music scene in their hometown and hungry for fame and fortune, they threw their guitars and their few possessions into the back of a Peugeot 206 and drove to the capital.
Whilst living out of the car for 11 months, they began to forge their legend by gigging regularly in the city.
Making a name for themselves in London and beyond for their explosive and unpredictable live performances, flamboyant swagger and dirty-sweet pop-hit anthems.
By the end of the year this included releasing a string of singles recorded by Paul Tipler (The Horrors, Placebo), touring England and playing sold–out headline shows at The Alleycat in Soho and their beloved Dublin Castle, not to mention festivals including Tramlines, Dot To Dot and headlining CrowndaleClub at Camden Rocks Festival. As well as bringing their electrifying performances to established venues, they had/have a taste for the unconventional, acquiring a notorious reputation for playing their own guerrilla gigs in homeless shelters, warehouses and house parties.
The band kicked on in 2018, beginning the year with a UK tour to promote their single ‘Hello Tango’ and another sold out headline show, which also saw the band spread the gospel abroad, gigging in Paris and Belgium.
This year the band returned to Europe, proving to be a big hit on their tours of France, Belgium and Holland . In-between touring, the group made Hastings their second home, recording their debut E.P with Kevin Vanbergen (Paul Weller, The Pixies, Nick Cave)
Continuing to pack out venues across the capital to ever growing crowds and the imminent release of their debut EP – the future is shaping up to be an exciting time for The Garage Flowers.
