Festival season returns with Liverpool’s Sound City boasting an absolutely stellar lineup. Topping the bill on Saturday, and headlining their first major festival is Wigan based band The Lathums. Formed in 2018, the band have risen to fame and a well deserved top slot with their album “How beautiful Life Can Be” earning them a number 1 in the UK album charts last year. Certainly one not to be missed!
Headlining Sundays line up is singer/songwriter Self Esteem. Hailing from Sheffield, Rebecca Lucy Taylor us an established artist, having been one half of folk group Slow Club. Taylor’s album Prioritise Pleasure was released last year.
Other highlights on the line up include the fantastic Leeds-based post-punk band Yard Act, The Charlatans Tim Burgess, and indie rock band The Reytons. The festival runs over two days commencing on the 30th April with bands performing across numerous venues in the city centre. Tickets are available at www.soundcity.uk.com.
