Known for their bittersweet love songs, Flare return with their third single ‘Iggy Storm’ taking off their forthcoming first album.
While the cover of the single symbolises the neighbourhood where members of Flare spent their childhood as friends and brothers, ‘Iggy Storm’ tells the story of the never-ending need of making music. With elements of feeling forever-young in their music, this song could live on forever making Flare’s name one to remember.
Detailing itself as staying true to yourself as humanly possibly, ‘Iggy Storm’ has it’s head in the clouds. What could only be described as an indie classic in years to come, there’s elements of the noughties in this track’s core. One thing to say that could be improved on is the track’s length. While it still grabs listeners full attention, the near enough 5 minute track may not get much airplay due to it’s length.
A radio edit of this number would be fantastic. Flare’s Iggy Storm still will hit you in the guts with it’s full-face of indie rock. In a time where we’re all missing our social-life and wanting to be able to feel ‘free’ again, Flare have come at the right time with their infectious take on simply being forever-young.
