Britain’s Best? Oh Yes!
After an intense and loud support slot from Brummies, GANS, Getdown Services stride onstage to Status Quo’s Whatever You Want. The crowd erupt into a huge burst of applause as the duo entice them. Both decked out in short shorts and moustaches, they hold the crowd in the palm of their hands.
After a very long introduction, the boys lashed into Provide Me Your Name, whilst bouncing on stage, and asking the audience to wave at them enthusiastically. They threw their luscious locks around manically before going straight into their hit, Evil on Tap.
They then begin to berate the city of Liverpool by comparing it to Manchester, sending the crowd into a booing frenzy. The duo love this and encourages it even more, asking to be booed. At this point, the tops came off, and the sweat dripped off the walls. The crowd went nuts once again, seeing frontman Ben Sadler’s hairy chest.
After every song, the band would check-in with the audience on their gig experience so far, and ask if anyone had left, joking that this was not possible as they had locked all the doors.
The band soldiers on through even more electronic/punk/cool tunes and end on their biggest hit Dog Dribble. The audience loses their minds one more time, before going back home on a wet, cold night in Liverpool.
