Leeds Fest is back this August bank holiday with a stacked lineup covering everything from pop sensations Raye and Chalie XCX, right though to rap megastar Dave.
The four day event, running from 27th to 30th of August, will see close to 100,000 flock to Leeds’ Bramham Park in what has become a staple of the festival calendar since it began twinning Reading festival back in 1999. Wednesday camping is also available, but the music begins with a limited lineup beginning on Thursday, headed by indie stalwarts Kasabian.
Since the festivals evolution to increase the number of headliners it has allowed Leeds’ organisers to offer a plethora of genres across the biggest slots. Those already mentioned will be joined by UK music royalty in the forms of Chase & Status and Florence & The Machine, topped with rocks biggest movers over the last few years, Fontaines DC.
Away from the top billing it doesn’t get any less compelling. Skepta is due to appear in a special guest slot, as well as the ever headline grabbing Kneecap who will celebrate the release of their new album with an appearance. Skye Newman, who’s tour recently sold out in a matter of minutes, also appears.
On the indie front, big draws come from Declan McKenna, The K’s and The Lathums, all of which tent to see huge crowds gather whenever they take to a festival stage. Away from these, The Warehouse stage will host some of the most exciting dance acts around, including the likes of Hybrid Minds and Hedex.
With such strength and mixture in the line up, it is sure to be one of the best events of the summer, and a variety of camping and non-camping tickets are still available.
