Level 42 will be kicking off their “Living It Up” tour in Wolverhampton at The Civic in The Halls this coming Sunday (8th October), with a further 21 UK dates following in the coming weeks and will be supported by The Christians.
Having a 43 career behind them and 11 studio albums (which spawned 10 songs that ranked in the top 10 in the UK charts over the years) they are perhaps most well known for their number 3 hit “Lessons In Love”. Driven by the shear awesome bass skill of Mark King (Possibly the Isle Of Wights most famous export) I’m sure that the place will be full of people singing and dancing along to the hits.
I have never seen them live before myself but couldn’t pass up the chance to see one of my bass idols live and tick off another band from the childhood soundtrack list so this is one I am looking forward to.
Random fact: Mark King plays some bass guitars that are hand made by the same company (Jaydee) that have made guitars for the Godfather of Heavy Riffs Tony Iommi.
