LITTLE MAN TATE LIVE IN CHESTERFIELD – WHAT HAPPENED?

What? What you got?

Sheffield indie rockers Little Man Tate had something rather hot for this weekend. Ahead of their Clifton park show with the Reytons, the band played an electrifying gig at The Real Time Live in Chesterfield. The venue was packed with die hard fans, new and old for their return to the stage.

As the room quickly reached its 250 capacity, support act Daz Cadwallander took to the stage. His warm acoustic set captured the hearts of many. From Oasis covers to songs about his Yorkshire upbringing, this delightful set was something not to be missed.

Temperatures rose as the room was crackled with anticipation for tonight’s main event.

Intro music Sheriff Fatman began to play, whipping the crowd to a frenzy as the band took the stage. Their set was packed with hit after hit, showcasing not only their chemistry as a band, but also their ability to create chaos amongst a crowd.

With punchy, nostalgic lyrics and vocals, lead singer Jon Windle captivated the attention of the room. Through his engrossing eye contact and stage presence, Windle had the room in the palm of his animated hands as fans hung onto every single word. The setlist brought an array emotions from the room, from highs in songs such as This Must Be Love about young love and a first relationship to the singer briefly discussing his struggles with mental health and dedicating Down In The Gutter to his band, thanking them for their support, a moment that touched the hearts of many.

The crowd was back on top form, enthusiastically chanting LMT! LMT! LMT! desperate for the encore. It was definitely worth the wait! As the band played fan favourites Audrey Hepburn and Down On Marie, a mosh pit broke out with fans old and young all eager to join in the action. It was a spectacular end to the night.

This sold out gig was definitely one to remember and if anything to go by, you definitely don’t want to miss out on their show at Clifton Park!
