Love to be… is heading home this October for a huge warehouse party in Sheffield.
The house institution takes over Hangr Warehouse at SteelYard, Kelham Island, on Friday 17 October, bringing a full day-into-night rave across two rooms. Running from 5pm until 1am, the event welcomes 1,000 clubbers for a proper celebration of house music—old school, new school and everything in between.
Leading the main room is none other than Mousse T. A true heavyweight of the scene, the Grammy-nominated producer has spent more than three decades shaping dance music. From huge chart records to sets at Tomorrowland, Creamfields and his Glitterbox residency at Hï Ibiza, he arrives in Sheffield with a serious pedigree and a bag full of house classics.
Joining him is Groove P, one of the most exciting names rising through the underground right now. His breakthrough track “Are They Real” helped put him firmly on the radar, with support coming from the likes of Marco Carola, Peggy Gou, Hot Since 82 and Dennis Cruz. Expect stripped-back, groove-led house built for a warehouse dancefloor.
Love to be mainstays Trimtone also return. With over 30 years in the game, the duo remain central to the brand’s global success, from club shows and festivals to their label and radio show, which reaches millions of listeners around the world every week. James Worrell, Watty, Cheryl Wright, Sinclair and Andy Wadlow complete the main-room lineup.
Room two gets a special Sheffield-flavoured makeover as the Music Factory, named after the London Road club where Love to be began back in 1994. It is set to be wall-to-wall house classics from the first tune until close.
Hacienda favourite Tom Wainwright headlines, bringing a direct connection to one of UK club culture’s most important eras. Sheffield’s own Melly D joins him, alongside Stuart Pilling, Booty, Shaun Hayes, Rudi and Amy S.
The event follows Love to be’s May Bank Holiday inner-city festival at SteelYard, which saw house royalty Roger Sanchez, The Shapeshifters and David Penn take charge. If that was anything to go by, this one should be a big night for Sheffield’s house heads.
Thirty years after starting life as the North’s original superclub, Love to be is still moving forward—selling out events across the UK and beyond, from Harrogate and Ibiza to New York and Sydney.
With Hangr Warehouse’s heavyweight sound system, immersive visuals and two rooms of house music, this looks like one of the standout Sheffield club nights of the autumn.
