Mother Culture release new single Drawing By Design

Australian band Mother Culture are certainly taking the worldwide music scene by storm. With huge fans over in the UK (including myself!), the international group are known for their modern DIY ethos where they write, record and produce all of their music independently at their home studio in Melbourne.

Following in the footsteps of their debut EP ‘To Be Frank’ and singles ‘Fuzzface’ and ‘Scaramouche’, their back with their latest offering ‘Drawing By Design’.

Living up to expectations, the new single is an indie-pop contender that’ll simply refuse to be left on any old back burner. Bathed with punchy, pop sensibilities, there’s no specific genre to label this by. You’ve got moments of pop-rock, grunge fuelled fuzz and happy splashes of psychedelia for good measure.

Dealing with heartbreak – something we all encounter at some point in our lives – ‘Drawing By Design’ shares the end of a relationship and the weight of emotional doubts that come from it. Linking in with the title, the track may act without thinking, but it certainly has a strong head on its shoulders.

Radiating their summer vibes over to the UK – ‘Drawing By Design’ is an effortless performance that deserves to put Mother Culture on your permanent radar.
