While Manchester’s Neck of the Woods festival looks for a new 2 stage venue for 2025, they have announced a stellar lineup for our All Dayer on September 22nd 2024
The festival, organised by We Are Manchester and SM Presents, will be taking place at Lock 91, in central Manchester. It will be bringing together some of Manchester’s best new artists, as well as legends from Manchester’s musical heritage.
Last year Dermo from Northside and rising star Alex Spencer closed an amazing day in Levenshulme, this time with a band! Other bands on the line up included Big Cat Chic, Bleach Boy, Pyncher, Scapegrace. The festival welcomed back Tay Temple and also Test Card Girl. Plus there was a book talk from John Robb!
This year, they are pleased to welcome back some of the best Manchester bands! 8 bands will take to the stage on the 22nd of September. Bands include Hollows, The Strangerz, Big Cat Chic, and the new band Dig Up Her Bones.
Ruth Murray had this to say: “We were so pleased with the festival last year. There was a real communicty spirit and it felt like a celebration of how far we’d come. We Are Manchester is 15 years old this year, so we will celebrate all year with plenty of events to bring the Manchester music community together.
We would love to find a 2 stage venue for 2025 so we can be even more ambitious next year! While we continue our search, we will be holding a smaller event at Lock 91 on the 22nd of September. We will be showcasing some bands who have previously played We Are Manchester events. We will also be including some newer bands such as Blackjack and Dig Up Her Bones
