Reclaim Vienna release new track Paris on new indie label 42s Records. Recorded by Mark Winterburn and mixed by John Delf (James Arthur, Plan B, Lilly Allen) at Delf’s studio “The Edge”, Alderley Edge.
Forming in 2018, the band met growing up in the nearby towns of Winsford and Northwich, Cheshire, bonding over their shared love of music. They class their sound as “Modern Indie Synth-Wave” or “Electronic Pop Music” – blending synth tracks/loops, anthemic guitar hooks, stomping drum beats and catchy pop choruses.
Danny Smith, main songwriter had this to say about the track…” Paris describes falling out with someone, losing yourself as a cause of someone else and knowing that although it’s happening, you continue loving that person because you know in the end they’re the right one for you. It’s basically nightclub music with a pop twist, the kind of music you want to dance to. We want people to come alive to our music”
This is evident in both their this debut release “Kick The Butterfly” and more so in new release ”Paris”. Comparisons have been made to 80’s electronic music, New Order, Duran Duran and The Slow Readers Club.
The intro has dance floor filler written all over it you can just picture the track thumping in the background of a neon lit night club scene on the soundtrack of Danny Boyles next edgy film featuring 20 something’s high until the early hours. The vocals are slick and easily slide in and out of the synths making a perfectly balanced Saturday night disco track that takes the listener back in time in the pop filled clubs of the 80s.
