Hiya folks thanks for joining us in the virtual RGM lounge today, grab a brew and take a seat.
What have you been doing during lock down?
Same as everyone I guess.. clapping, baking, quizzing, worrying.. Since march though Ive tried to keep creative and make things I’m proud of.
How has it affected your mental health?
Ive tried to keep as fit as I can which has been helpful for me I suppose.. My mental health ebbs and flows so having time to spend to concentrate on looking after myself has been helpful.
How do you think the government has looked after the night time economy / live gig circuit?
This interview isn’t long enough for my thoughts on the current government, if referring to COVID then its obviously very tricky time. It needs to be safe for everyone to get it started again I suppose. I worked in hospitality for years so my heart goes out to those guys who work super hard for not much pay and the goal posts keep on moving.
What’s one question you’re sick of being asked when interviewed?
*scans rest of interview questions* How did you get started?..
Which one is the biggest pain in the arse? (Lateness, forgets stuff etc.)
What is the unsigned scene in Kent like at the minute?
Well.. no gigs.. some great bands making great records though.

What was the most fun you have had on stage?
Having people sing your song back at you is a special thing, its what its all about for me.
What was the worst experience on stage?
Being unable to hear yourself is common and its the worst..
Tell us something about each member that you think people would be surprised about?
CHERITON is just me! SURPRISE!
What advice would you give someone going into the music industry?
Be kind to yourself, your inner thoughts are the right thing to do, keep moving.
What advice would you give your younger self
See last question.
What’s your biggest achievement as an artist ?
Playing Glastonbury has been a highlight for me.. but every time I release music I see it as a massive achievement. It takes a lot to put things out so I’m always proud when I do.
What makes you stand out as an artist?
Good shoes and punctuality.
Right now, what’s pissing you off the most? (Can’t say the virus 🙂
Anti-maskers, the far right / the current government.
What’s your favourite song to play live and why?
Say Hey atm.. as it took me ages to learn how to play riff and sing at same time!
Tell me about your new video and how it came about?
I wanted to make a live video and capture a performance, been starved of performance this year so felt like a great opportunity to be with real people. It came about through a lot of collaboration with super talented people 🙂 the best way!
