RGM INTRODUCING – WE INTERVIEW A.T. PHARMS

What’s the live music scene like in your city right now?
The live music scene in Dallas is really diverse. You’ve got everything from underground hip-hop showcases to indie rock bands and R&B singers finding their lanes. It’s competitive, but there’s a lot of talent and opportunity if you’re willing to stay consistent and keep showing up.

Are there any emerging artists or bands we should be keeping an eye on (besides yourself, of course)?
There are a lot of artists in Dallas making noise right now. I think what stands out most is how many people are blending genres and creating their own sound instead of sticking to one lane.

Do you think it’s easy for artists to be influenced—or even limited—by their surroundings?
Definitely. Your environment can shape your sound, your mindset, and even your confidence. But I think it’s important to take inspiration from your surroundings without letting it box you in creatively.

What are your long-term ambitions for the band/project?
My goal is to create timeless music—songs that people can come back to years later and still feel something. I want to build a catalog that crosses genres and connects with people on a real level.

Which social media platform do you prefer to use the most, and why?
I’d say Tick Tok right now because it’s a good mix of visuals, short-form content, and direct engagement with listeners. It feels like a solid place to build a brand and connect.

Many believe it’s essential for artists to maintain a presence on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and X to reach diverse audiences. What’s your perspective on that?
I agree. Each platform reaches a different audience, so being present across all of them helps expand your reach. It’s about meeting people where they are.

How would you describe your view of the music industry today?
The industry is more accessible than ever, but also more saturated. Anyone can release music, which is great, but it makes standing out more challenging. Consistency and authenticity matter more than ever.

What are your thoughts on AI-generated music and its impact on artists?
AI is a powerful tool, but I think the human element is what really connects with people. Emotion, experience, and storytelling can’t be fully replicated. AI can assist, but it shouldn’t replace the artist.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned recently as you continue to develop your music?
Patience. Things don’t always happen as fast as you want, but growth takes time. Staying consistent and believing in your vision is key.

What artists or albums are currently in your regular listening rotation?
I listen to a mix—classic R&B, older hip-hop, pop records, and some rock influences. A lot of the music I gravitate toward has that nostalgic feel, something that sticks with you.

What has been your most challenging or memorable experience on stage? Any funny moments you can share?
I haven’t had a lot of live performances yet, but every opportunity I’ve had has been a learning experience. Even small moments help build confidence and stage presence.

Do you have any entertaining or memorable stories from life on the road?
Not too many road stories yet, but that’s something I’m looking forward to as things grow.

We hear you have new music on the way—what can you tell us about it?
The new music really reflects my style—blending R&B, rap, pop, and rock. It’s melodic, emotional, and has that nostalgic feel I aim for, but still sounds current.

What was the recording process like for this project?
It was very hands-on. As a songwriter and producer, I’m involved in every step—from the initial idea to the final mix. It’s a process of experimenting, refining, and making sure everything feels right.

Now that it’s finished, is there anything you would do differently?
As an artist, you always hear things you might tweak, but at some point you have to trust the process and let the music be what it is.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with your audience?
I just want people to connect with the music. If it reminds you of a moment, a feeling, or a memory—that’s what it’s all about. Again if you love my music be sure to check out the book “Glamorous Hare” out August 2026.
