Hiya folks thanks for joining us in the virtual RGM lounge today, grab a brew and take a seat.

What made you decide to start the band / become a soloist?

I was in a pop punk band called Across the Atlantic previously as a drummer. Once the pandemic hit we kind of all split our separate ways. I loved music so much and had become super interested in pop music. I decided to take my own path and start making sad pop music on my own. HUGE change up, but so far I really enjoy it!

Introduce us to you?

I am a sad pop artist from San Antonio, TX. I create sad boy music with happy vibes! I have been doing solo music since around 2020

What one question you’re sick of being asked when interviewed?

What are your influences is something I see in almost all my interviews haha.

Did you buy anything you don’t need in the pandemic?

I am super into the gym and fitness. When the gyms shut down because of the virus, I bought a weighted vest to run in. Thing was so heavy. I also bought some resistance bands that I used like twice. Also, way too much doordash / uber eats 😮

Luckily I didn’t splurge on anything too crazy.

What useless party trick do you have?

I can probably beat you at guitar hero.

What was the most fun you have had on stage?

I loved playing hometown shows when everyone would be on stage with us or stage diving. Hometown shows were always the best because all your friends and family were there to see you do your thing. I also had an amazing time touring Europe/UK too! Playing to new people in a different country and seeing them sing your lyrics back was just insane.

What was the worst experience on stage?

I have had a cymbal fall off stage before lol -_-
My band’s tour van was also being towed midset so we had to stop the show and go move it before the tow company took off with it.
Our amps literally caused an electrical fire in a venue.
Our first show in Europe none of our click tracks worked so that was awful.

Tell us something about you that you think people would be surprised about?

One that always surprises everyone that didn’t know me before creating CYAAN would be that I used to play emo music and tour the world. Also, the fact that I am from a town of like 50 people in Oklahoma always surprises people. I legit lived in the woods lol

If you had to describe your music to an alien how would you describe it?

Lyrics that will break your heart, music that will make you dance.

What makes you stand out as an artist?

I feel like I am very vulnerable in my songs and include raw emotion.

Right now, what’s pissing you off the most?

The fact that I am not playing any shows. Being patient is so tough when you are still getting everything together. I miss the stage for sure.

What’s your favourite song to play live and why?

When I do play live I KNOW Paradise is going to go off! So excited to play it. It is definitely a fan favorite.

I hear you have a new single what can you tell us about it?

Yes! Never Felt This Way dropped last week and it is getting so much great feedback! I love it. I usually always write about heartbreak but with this track I decided to change it up. This song is about mending a broken heart. Finally getting over someone who had their claws in you. It feels so empowering to let it all go. I wanted to share the feeling that everything will be okay after a little while, and things always get better.

Would you change anything now it’s finished?

I feel like every song I release I want to make small changes too. Even after I made that change I would find something else I would like to change haha. I think that is just a musician problem. You always find something you want to change.

What are your plans for the year ahead?

I have two more singles ALMOST complete including one with my first feature. Looking at some music videos and praying I play my first show!

Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?

Thank you for all the love and support, it really means the world to me. I know there are so many artists out there and it is very difficult to be heard. I am just so grateful for everyone who has been there to listen to my music.
