What made you decide that music is a thing for you?
I absolutely love music! The idea that we can reach people and reach them internally is very fulfilling.
Introduce us to you and your musical history.
Hello friends my name is Kevin Whitaker I’m a singer / composer from Pennsylvania in the US. I’ve been doing music for a long time. Only recently started taking it seriously
What was life like for you before music?
Well, my life was very robotic very plain. I was born and raised a Jehovah’s Witnesses. As I don’t want to bash the organization. It really wasn’t for me so I left. I was married for 12 years and went through a divorce in 2020 . My life turned out to be super different and I feel I have made some serious marks in my journey
What was the first song you heard that steered you into a music path?
Man I grew up a huge beach boys fan, my favorite song was Don’t worry baby.
Where do you feel you currently sit within the music industry?
I’m a new soul to music, I may never get to where I want to go. But as I sit now, I’m in love with music and I really feel I’m still making my way and learning my groove
What’s the biggest thing you have learned from someone else in the industry?
Patience, consistency, tough skin. You will get eaten alive

If you could wish for one thing to aid your career what would it be?
Getting my music in front of the right people and getting the right feedback

Fuck no!!!! Cancel me !!! No one knows me. I’m so tired of the crooked lies in this world

Do you sign up for any conspiracy theories? If not why not?
I believe it’s us vs the world, we live in a world of hate and sadness and we can believe whatever we want but I will tell you this, the truth will set you free.
What was the worst experience on stage?
God damn backtrack stopped working!! Yeah I know I get what I get

I’ve been married twice I lived a life in 30 years lost my mother at 30 and work hard at healing myself
What makes you stand out as an artist?
Listen I’m just a guy that Loves to be the best I can be. I want to reach you I want you to hear my cry’s. I’m not a great singer I’m learning

Rise is my new release this song really hit home. I was born and raised in a cult. Yes a cult. I can go on for days, anyone hating me now is reading this shaking there head saying how lost I am. I am found, and I’m at peice rise is a song that sings that. The drama the pain , the sadness the hate . I rose above millions of people, I won
What was the recording process like?
It was fun I worked with radium records on this even though this is my story my producer bradley denniston wrote and produced this one for me. He help me tell my story . He took this record to a whole new level
What was the biggest learning curve in writing the new tunes?
It’s hard man, seriously write something good and sound design your music the right way quit using samples and build your own elements and you will see

No, we nailed it
Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?
Listen I’m 37 I don’t know much time I have left on this earth. My dreams are to build this for my children and build the legacy that will go on
