Hiya folks thanks for joining us in the virtual RGM lounge today, grab a brew and take a seat.
Awesome. We like brews.
What made you decide to start the band?
The pandemic. We needed something creative to do so that we didn’t blow our brains out.
Introduce us you / all to the members and your musical history?
By law, we are unable to let you know our true identities.
What’s one question you’re sick of being asked when interviewed?
This is only our 3rd interview, so maybe we can answer that one next year 🙂
Do you sign up to any conspiracy theories?
We definitely have a healthy distrust when the government and big pharma team up on anything. We are definitely not anti-vax, just keeping our eyes and ears open.
Did you buy anything you don’t need in the pandemic?
Lots and lots of alcohol.
What useless party trick do you have?
Fire-eating and cock push-ups.
What was the most fun you have had on stage?
Being onstage at a Fugazi concert when we were kids.
What was the worst experience on stage?
My pants fell down, onstage, at the 930 club.
Tell us something about you / each member that you think people would be surprised about?
Again, under law, we cannot divulge information about our true identities.
If you had to describe your band/music to an alien how would you describe it?
Usually distorted, usually fast, sometimes fun, sometimes pissed.
What makes you stand out as a band?
Our mix of old-school influences wrapped up into new production. Also, awesome live drums are becoming rarer and rarer now.
Right now, what’s pissing you off the most?
Way too many to mention. Maybe Social Media. Maybe just that it seems that the majority of people have no clear understanding of logic and reason.
What’s your favourite song to play live and why?
Liar. It’s very fun to just blast through a song. A lot of our stuff is like that.
I hear you have a new single/album/ep, what can you tell us about it?
Short Songs for a Fast Life comes out streaming everywhere Friday August 12th. It’s 10 songs and true to its name. It’s our debut and we are excited about it.
Talk me through the thought process of the single/album/ep?
The thought process was to make a cohesive album that flows together and is supported by rad videos. We try to have either a real music video or at least a lyric video for every song.
What was the recording process like?
Lots of file transfers over the internet. None of the recording was done in the same room with the other members.
What was the biggest learning curve in writing the single/album/ep?
We are pretty dialed in and each of us have done this before, in other bands and projects.
Would you change anything now it’s finished?
No. Time to move on to the next one.
What are your plans for the year ahead?
Write another album. Release singles. Release music videos. Play some shows.
Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?
Thanks for listening and we hope to see you at a show!
