RGM INTRODUCING – WE INTERVIEW BLAKE WISNER

What made you decide to become a artist?

I had been playing piano since I was 3 years old and started writing tunes around 13. So it slowly developed into a solo artist thing!

Introduce us you and your musical history?

I’m Blake Wisner, 26 years old and started producing about 7 years ago!

What’s one question you’re sick of being asked when interviewed?
Sick of being asked for my password to my bank account might just post it on social media at this point.

Do you sign up to any conspiracy theories?

Not “sign up” per say, but I love philosophy and exploring all different viewpoints.

What useless party trick do you have?

I can backflip flat ground somehow perfectly every time I’m drunk.

What was the most fun you have had on stage?

Played on stage at Life is Beautiful Festival 2019 and it was absolutely a blast!

What was the worst experience on stage?

Not the worst experience, but definitely a different one, performing a full classical Italian Opera song in front of a full theatre.

Tell us something about you that you think people would be surprised about?

I studied and performed Jazz Vocals & Classical Opera at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

If you had to describe your band/music to an alien how would you describe it?

Well, I’d have to speak in “alien” for the alien to understand me of course but I would say, catchy and easy listening.

What makes you stand out as a Artist?

I am not defined by one genre!

Right now, what’s pissing you off the most? (Can’t say the virus )

THE COST OF RENT. I AM TRYING TO MOVE TO A NEW PLACE IN LAS VEGAS AND THESE PRICES ARE NOT THE BUSINESS

What’s your favourite song to play live and why?

OTW. Because currently it is my only song out and it is very crowd interactive.

I hear you have a new single, what can you tell us about it?

It is a disclosure kind of vibe with some drops and tasty vocal chops!

Talk me through the thought process it?

My producer friend Hubstcy sent me the beat and asked if I liked it, without even saying yes or no I sent back my vocals on it and he loved it!

What was the recording process like?

I record all my own vocals in my studio at home!

What was the biggest learning curve in writing the new tune?

I was able to send it back quick enough for the producer to still have interest in the song he just sent me, instead of over-thinking the lyrics and trying to over-perfect it!

Would you change anything now it’s finished?

Absolutely not!

What are your plans for the year ahead?

TONS OF MUSIC COMING

Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?

Get EVERYTHING in writing even if you are working with someone you think you could trust and would never do you dirty…… Money will change people when it’s time for them to pay you!
