What made you decide to become an artist?

My parents were a big influence but a lack of opportunities was the main reason.

Introduce us all to the members and your musical history?

My Stage Name is MC Tunes,

I am also the vocalist / rapper for 808 state – Dust Junkys – Alabama 3 and I’m the voice behind Fatboy Slim “Gangsta Trippin”

What’s the best piece of advice you have received?

Closed Mouth Don’t Get Fed

Did you buy anything you don’t need in the pandemic? If so, what?

Netflix subscription… It was awful

Do you sign up to any conspiracy theories?

Yes Twitter is 50% bots…FACT!

What support is out there for new artists in Manchester ?

Not a lot.

How have you seen the music industry in Manchester change over the years?

There isn’t a music industry in Manchester , Factory Records was all we had

Who is inspiring you at the minute on the Manchester scene?

The Shed Project – The Mouse outfit – Shotty Horroh – Hacienda Classical

What useless party trick / talent do you have/?

Doing vodka shots in my eye

What was the most fun you have had on stage?

At the moment its Hosting the Hacienda Classical

What was the worst experience on stage?

Never had one the stage is my Bi%%H

What advice would you give someone going into the music industry?

Write everything , never sign to UMG , use the technology available and keep releasing music.

I hear you have a new single brewing, what can you tell us about it?

The Single “Vehicle for your love” is one of 6 tracks on my new EP Reparation and it’s a bit of a Banger.

Talk me through the thought process of the single/album?

Not much thought goes into it , for me it’s mostly instinct.

What was the recording process like?

I’ve been writing songs and releasing music for over 30 years so the process is a lot easier these days.

I record what I like when I like.

What was the biggest learning curve in writing the single/album?

Trust NO ONE .. always ask the hard questions no matter what.

Would you change anything now that it’s finished?

Maybe.. but not much

What are your plans for the year ahead?

Release More Music on my online record label WIKIBEATS and keep using Ditto.

Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?

Never lie to yourself , Always lift the toilet seat , Don’t drink cheap booze and Taking offence is a Choice.
