What made you decide that music is a thing for you?
My first piano concert was a classical concert, the room was full of people, I was 16 years old. I had the idea to get into music because I really felt the enthusiasm and passionate people in this room. I was very excited about playing Debussy and Liszt at this moment. After that, getting into the car of my parents, who support me a lot, I told them « It is that, I only make and produce music ».
Introduce us to you and your musical history.
I’m a pianist and composer. I started the piano at 5 years old with classical music. It helped me to get musical theory and technical instruments for the future. After that, I wanted to play and compose Jazz, Pop, and emotional songs. I would say that I’m a sensitive person, my songs are mainly deep songs, melancholic songs.
Before my Baccalaureate in High School with a music option ( I was 19 years old ), I quickly started to compose pop, jazz, electro music and a mix of these three music styles.
I really like this idea of mixing jazz and pop, or pop and electro, with some subtlety. I was very focused on my piano songs. I also studied classical music in a conservatory, but I felt something more modern. These times I’m focusing on my piano electro release « Cristal Meteor » end of June. I appreciate Electro’s music style a lot.
Name me your 3 favorite Albums?
I currently listen music single rather than albums, I would say « Scared to be Lonely », Martin Garrix, very powerful song , David Guetta, « I’m good »
Alesso, if I loose myself. What an emotional song.
What was the first song you heard that steered you into a music path?
When I was younger, I listened Daft Punk a lot, « One more Time » of course !
The music industry is the hardest industry in the world to progress in, How do you feel you are doing?
I feel better when I compose good songs, with emotion and huge piano melody. I like this idea to play with some passion and emotional melody with piano. I am confident in the music Industry, and in all people who support me as well as possible.
I’m seeing a lot of debate about women not feeling safe at music gigs, any thoughts on what we need to do to help?
I think it’s a good thing to set some limits and protections for more vulnerable women
As you develop as an artist and develop using socials what ways do you get new ears on your music? Any tips?
If I had any advice to give, in a very humble way, it was to go forward and plan your musical goals, stay sensitive to music vibrations, and produce good, and emotional songs.
Tell us Two truths and a lie about you.
Truths : I’m a very sensitive person and I’m a perfectionist
Lie about me :
I never cry about music
I don’t drink a cup of coffee in the morning.
What’s your thought on Spotify’s monopoly on the music industry?
Spotify is a great platform, it can easily help artists to improve and put their songs on Social networks.
What was the worst experience on stage?
Dancing just 5 minutes before the concert, was strange !!
Tell us something about you that you think people would be surprised about.
Basically, I’m quite calm despite my sensibility and high energy! I can dance salsa Cubana ( beginner/intermediate level )
What makes you stand out as a band/artist?
I think my creativity and sensibility.
I hear you have a new music, what can you tell us about it.
Cristal Meteor is my next piano Electro single available 30Th June. The main subject of this song is perseverance.
Talk me through the thought process of the new tune/s.
I wanted a deep sound while keeping a lyrical and interesting melody to hear.
What was the recording process like?
I went to the studio when I found the chords and melody, then I recorded the composition all at once in the studio.
What was the biggest learning curve in writing the new tunes?
To find interesting new chords and lyrical melodies. To compose as narrative music. To mix piano and Electro style.
Would you change anything now it’s finished?
Not at the moment, I’m confident about the power of music.
Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?
My piano compositions are not perfect, I know that, but I work hard to find huge chords, melody and lyrical song, powerful and melancholic songs.
I just want to share good songs with good electro vibes, with people who like the music world.
