RGM INTRODUCING – WE INTERVIEW LAS VEGAS ARTIST AMY JAIME

Hiya folks thanks for joining us in the virtual RGM lounge today, grab a brew and take a seat.

Introduce us you and your musical history?

My name is Amy Jaime I have been singing for 13 years but originally been releasing my own music for 2 years.

Name me your 3 favorite Albums?

My 21st Century Blues by Raye

Amor Prohibido by Selena

Day Dream by Mariah Carey

What was the first song you heard that steered you into a music path?

I feel like my path in the music industry is going great. I’ve learned a lot had a lot of losses but also a lot of wins. I’ve seen a lot of incredible things and been in incredible rooms I never thought I’d be in. I feel like anyone can achieve anything as long as you put in 100 % with a sprinkle of manifestation.

Im seeing a lot of debate about women not feeling safe at music gigs, any thoughts on what we need to do to help?

I don’t think there is anything we can really change unfortunately. It’s a human thing a lot of men don’t know how to act respectfully around women.

As you develop as an artist and develop using socials what ways do you get new ears on your music? Any tips?

Be responsible with those who show the support. I also do giveaways and events to showcase my music.

Tell us Two truths and a lie about you?

My biological government name is Amy Jaime

I’m 4’11

I am left handed

Do you sign up for any conspiracy theories?

I do not sign up to any conspiracies I think they are rather stupid most of the times. However I do think aliens are real!

Did you buy anything you don’t need during the pandemic?

I bought a lot of canned foods during the pandemic because I thought there was going to be a food shortage.

What was the worst experience on stage?

My worst experience on stage is when I did a last minute show and had no time to prepare.

Tell us something about you / each member that you think people would be surprised about.

People would actually be so surprised on how quiet I am around people but I can definitely put on a show when I’m performing.

What makes me stand out as an artist?

My quirky and upbeat personality. My confidence and my name.

I hear you have a new music, what can you tell us about it.

My newest single “Into You” was actually written about a year ago and  it was written about falling in love with someone who has absolutely no interest in you. I find myself to find about love and heartbreak a lot since I am a huge hopeless romantic.

Talk me through the thought process of the new tune/s.

The thought process is me thinking about any past experiences I had with any past lovers or I’ll usually ask any friends their experience and I will write about it.

What was the biggest learning curve in writing the new tunes?

The biggest learning curve was learning how to write catchier hooks. I struggled with that process for a while.

Would you change anything now it’s finished?

I wouldn’t change anything.

Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?

I want anyone that’s reading this to know it’s okay to put yourself first, it’s okay to not be okay, it’s one hundred percent okay to fail. The only way you fail is if you don’t get up in the morning and put in 110% for yourself that’s when you fail. Keep going you never know what the universe may have in store for you.
