RGM INTRODUCING – WE INTERVIEW LONDON ARTIST KITE

Hiya folks thanks for joining us in the virtual RGM lounge today, grab a brew and take a seat.

What made you decide that music is a thing for you?

I’ve always been into music. My house was always playing different songs

The music industry is the hardest industry in the world to progress in, how do you feel you are doing since your first release in 2018?

I’m getting better every day. Every day is a better understanding of how the business works

How have your song writing skills developed over time?

One of my best attributes. I put my songwriting skills up there with the best. Studying music theory helped a lot

I’m seeing a lot of debate about females not feeling safe at music gigs, any thoughts on what we need to do to help?

Just let me perform. They will feel safe

As you develop as an artist and develop using socials what ways do you get new ears on your music? Any tips?

IM private in sharing my music. I trust my ear. Lately I’ve been more open to sharing my music with my family, selective friends,  producers

What’s your thought on Spotify’s monopoly on the music industry?

Its bool. Just have to do your research on the algorithm

Do you sign up for any conspiracy theories?

All of them

Did you buy anything you don’t need during the pandemic?

Yeezy Foam runners. Wore em twice now they collect dust

What makes you stand out as an artist?

No one has my sound. I can do any sound but I’ve been working on this one for a while

I hear you have two new EPs on the way, what can you tell us about them?

Bool boy volume 2 is going to be straight PLuggnb (R&B mixed with plug music). Its going to be a fresh sound to UK ears. I’ve been working on this sound for a while. The second tape is with a producer friend of mine I’m working with KE. All beats are made by him. Not sure how to describe what we’re making but I guess you can say trap for now

When do you plan on releasing the EP?

Both should drop in early 2023

Talk me through the thought process of the new single Lie To Me.

Situations with girls put into one song

What was the recording process like?

I recorded the song in about 10 minutes. No second takes needed

What was the biggest learning curve in writing the new song?

Making the listener feel like they are on a rollercoaster. When you listen to my music that’s the vibe I want to give the listeners

Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?

I should be Dropping my first album next year
