Introduce us to you and your musical history.
Hi I’m Ryan Doyle & I’m a dance-pop producer from London!
Let’s go back a bit, what made you decide that music is a thing for you?
I’ve always loved music for as long as I can remember and starting learning guitar when I was 4, but then went and did Marine Biology at uni! Whilst I was there I realised that it was music that I wanted to fully do music and I haven’t stopped since!
Name your 3 favorite Albums.
Avicii – True, it was the first real album that got me into dance music
Kygo – Cloud 9, opened my eyes to the fact that dance music doesn’t have to be 128 bpm
Michael Jackson – Thriller, the first album I can remember buying!
What was the first song you heard that steered you into a music path?
It wasn’t actually a song, it was when I saw Avicii at Wireless festival in 2015. Whilst I was watching the set I just thought I want to do that so much!
Whats the biggest thing you have learned from someone else in the industry?
Never rush things! I used to want to get the ball rolling immediately previously and now I realise that things take time and everything will happen when it’s meant to.
If you could wish for one thing to aid your career what would it be?
To just collaborate more I think! Working with lots of different people always pushes you but also helps you learn so much.
As you develop as an artist and develop using socials what ways do you get new ears on your music? Any tips?
I’d be lying if I said I enjoy socials, and I think most creatives feel the same way! However, I think trying to post things I’d enjoy consuming helps as I’m probably the mould of my target audience!
Tell us Two truths and a lie about you?
I once accidentally knocked Gareth Southgate over and got surrounded by his security
I sang Complicated
I can play 3 instruments

What was the worst experience on stage?
I played my live set last year and all the cables got tangled pulling my laptop to the floor and killing everything!
What makes you stand out as a band/artist?
I think probably the sound I’m starting to carve out for myself – it’s taken some time, and I might be biased, but I think you can tell pretty quickly that this is a Ryan Doyle song!
What was the recording process like for the new single?
Pretty straightforward cause I wasn’t quite sure what I was doing! I made Complicated at a time whilst I didn’t really know what direction to go in and was just trying to see what stuck so there wasn’t much pressure! It took a couple of weeks to get it right but the bulk of the song was out within a couple of hours.
What was the biggest learning curve in writing the new track?
I think it’s a follow on from before; this song was essentially trying to figure out my sound and the whole song was probably the biggest learning curve as it’s shaped everything that’s come/coming!
Would you change anything now that it’s finished?
I try so hard to not critique my songs once they’re done! There’s always a couple things but I won’t tell you what they are as they’ll become so much more prominent!
Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?
I have 3 more songs coming this year and then something massive planned for December so keep you eyes out for it!
