Short and sweet chat about your new tunes today folks, lets do this.

What was the recording process like?

Recording this track was actually very different from how we’ve approached any of the songs before. This is the first time we’ve ever revisited a song! Way back in 2017 we recorded and released a demo version of She Never Lies as our first single. For a lot of people, this was their introduction to us as a band, especially in our hometown of Northampton but there was something about it that felt like it had never quite met its full potential.

So when we decided to start writing and recording our debut album this felt like the perfect time to re-record the track! We wanted to keep the essence of the original song the same but make it more interesting and more powerful. We changed the bassline, and some of the lyrics, added more guitars, and generally gave just about everything a massive face-lift!

What was the biggest learning curve in writing the new tunes?

Now that we’ve begun work on our debut album I think the hardest part has been consistency. We want to make sure that every song is the best it can possibly be and doing that over so many songs as well as making them feel like a cohesive project is challenging but ultimately the most fun part.

Would you change anything now it’s finished?

Not right now, believe me when I say this one took a long time to get right haha! Maybe ask me in 6 months and I might have changed my mind.

Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?

We’re heading out on tour in February for Independent venue week in Cambridge, Portsmouth, St Albans, and Hitchin and finishing in London. Come see us live, that’s where these songs were designed to be heard!
