Hiya Sally thanks for joining us in the virtual RGM lounge today, grab a brew and take a seat.

What made you decide that music is a thing for you?

Started out in music at a very early age. Took to it like a duck to water!

Introduce us to you and your musical history.

So I started learning piano at age 5, violin and clarinet a few years later.

I Studied Music for GCSE then A Level, then eventually degree level! Got a degree in Music and Creative Writing from Bangor University, North Wales back in 2013. Been writing, releasing and performing ever since.

What was life like for you before music?

There was no life before music! Even as a toddler you listen to nursery rhymes!

What was the first song you heard that steered you into a music path?

The first song I learnt on guitar was by Laura Marling aged about 16. The whole album is an acoustic vibe that I love to this day. Her first album was definitely a starting point in finding my own sound.

Where do you feel you currently sit within the music industry?

Just another indie artist!

Whats the biggest thing you have learned from someone else in the industry?

Hmmm. Take the small wins I guess!

If you could wish for one thing to aid your career what would it be?

Do you ever worry about people taking things the wrong way or cancel culture? Discuss….

No. Take what you will from it!

Do you sign up to any conspiracy theories? If not why not?

I believe in ghosts. Aliens I’m not so sure.

What was the worst experience on stage?

The worst experience on stage came right before the best funnily enough. I was playing a small pub near Birmingham. No-one was listening, everyone was chatting. Someone was like “Can he play?”, and I had to say “No, I’ve been booked to play here.” Not ideal. But then later that weekend I played a festival and everyone was listening and provided tea and cake and was just generally really nice. So ups and downs to be had in the live music scene I guess!

What are the next steps you plan to take to reach the next level?

More videos for the YouTube channel! More original songs released too, and more playing live! There’s much more to come.

Whats your thoughts on Elon Musks contribution to the world?

I hear you have a new music, what can you tell us about it.

It’s electro-acoustic guitar and female vocals this latest track release. It’s called “Tough”. It’s all about resilience.

What was the recording process like?

Me at home in my DIY home studio!
