RGM INTRODUCING – WE INTERVIEW STARLETSTE_OFFICIAL

Hiya starletste_official, thanks for joining us in the virtual RGM lounge today. Grab a brew and take a seat.

Thanks for having me. I’m an independent artist based in the UK, and music has always been my way of expressing emotion and storytelling. I started creating music as a way to channel real experiences and ideas into something meaningful, and over time it grew into a serious creative journey rather than just a hobby.

Thanks for joining us today… Tell us a bit about where you are from and how you got into music?

I’m based in the UK, and music has always been central to how I express ideas and emotions. What started as a creative outlet gradually developed into a focused artistic path as I became more serious about songwriting, sound, and storytelling.

What’s the live music scene like where you are right now? Anyone we should be looking out for (bar you, of course)?

The live music scene is very diverse at the moment, with a strong underground presence. There are a lot of artists experimenting with sound and genre, which makes it an exciting environment creatively.

Do you think it’s easy to become a victim of your surroundings sometimes?

Absolutely. Your environment can influence creativity in subtle ways, so it’s important to stay aware and intentional to make sure your music stays authentic and personal.

What’s your favourite social media platform to use and why?

TikTok is my favourite platform because it allows for direct and organic connection with listeners. It gives artists space to share music, visuals, and personality without heavy barriers.

We believe it’s essential to have a presence on Facebook, Instagram, and X to introduce yourself to different audiences. What are your thoughts on that?

Each platform reaches a different audience, and having a presence across them helps build a complete picture of who you are as an artist. I focus on using each platform in a way that feels natural rather than forced.

What’s your view on the music industry today?

The industry is fast-moving and digitally driven. While trends change quickly, there are more opportunities than ever for independent artists to build real careers without traditional gatekeepers.

What’s the biggest thing you’ve learned recently as you progress with your music?

Patience. Growth takes time, and consistency combined with belief in your vision is essential.

What’s currently in your ears and on rotation at the moment?

I’m listening to a mix of blues-influenced music, alternative sounds, and modern hip-hop production. I enjoy absorbing different moods and textures for inspiration.

What was your worst experience on stage? Any funny stories to share?

Thankfully, I haven’t had any negative stage experiences so far. Every performance has been a positive learning opportunity.

Got any fun or funny stories from life on the road?

I’m not quite at that stage yet, but I’m looking forward to those experiences when they come.

I hear you have new music. What can you tell us about it?

My latest release, Devil’s Dance, explores ambition, emotion, and internal conflict. It blends raspy vocals with 808-driven production and a dark, immersive atmosphere.

What was the recording process like?

The recording process was very hands-on. I spent a lot of time refining vocals and production to make sure the emotion translated clearly.

Would you change anything now it’s finished?

No major changes. Each release represents a moment creatively, and I think it’s important to let music exist as it was intended.

Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?

I’m grateful for every listener and supporter who takes time to engage with my music. I’m excited about what’s still to come.
