What made you decide to become an artist?

I just wanted to be able to make music like my favourite artists and hopefully inspire people in the same way they inspired me

Introduce us to you and your musical history?

My name is Tom and I make music under the name ‘Addezine’. I mostly make Alternative/Indie RnB but I feel like my sound is changing and evolving all the time

What’s one question youre sick of being asked when interviewed?

‘What does the future hold for you?’ – the future is scary and I don’t like thinking about it

Do you sign up to any conspiracy theories?

The universe is a simulation!

Did you buy anything you dont need in the pandemic?

Loads of vegetable and flower seeds. Went through a gardening phase as you do.

Tell us something about you that you think people would be surprised about?

I like sharks

If you had to describe your music to an alien how would you describe it?

Nostalgic, Melancholic, and Relaxing indie RnB

What makes you stand out as an artist?

I wish I knew the answer to that

Right now, whats pissing you off the most?

The fact that a Tesco meal deal is now £3.50

I hear you have a new single, what can you tell us about it?

Its called ‘Shade of Blue’ , its out on the 20th of May and it’s possibly the greatest song in all of human history

Talk me through the thought process of the single?

It just felt like a bit of a brain dump for me. Just getting out some stuff into a song which I felt needed to be said

What was the recording process like?

I recorded it a long time back but every time I do record I get super frustrated haha. I find it so annoying when I can’t get the sound I want, so recording is often a tricky process for me

What was the biggest learning curve in writing the single?

Just trying to balance life with making music. Its so difficult to prioritise the right things in life and I can sometimes get lost in the process a little bit

Would you change anything now its finished?

Oh for sure haha. I can be a bit of a perfectionist and will listen for every little flaw in the track. Its hard to let go and accept that its finished sometimes

What are your plans for the year ahead?

Expect some more singles from me – other than that who knows?

Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?

Be nice to others, be grateful and most importantly check out my music <3
