Hiya The Bouquet Sessions, thanks for joining us in the virtual RGM lounge today. Grab a brew and take a seat.
What was life like for you before you got into music?
Dunno, can’t remember. Probably floating around with other sperm dudes.
What’s the live music scene like in your world now? Anyone we should be looking out for (bar you, of course)?
Kneecap and Fontaine’s DC. Proper lads, proper shows. Really looking forward to the new Pulp record, “More”, I loved the two singles they released, it’s still Pulp and it’s absolutely inspiring. They’ve been performing quite a lot, at the BBC, Later with Jools Holland, and they are the best of all times. Baxter Dury released a singled called “Allbarone”, an absolute banger, looking forward to see that live also.
It seems like being a social media curator has become added to the many jobs of a musician, how do you feel about this?
Some more tech feudalism fueled non-sense. Fuck all.
How do you manage engagement on your socials?
We’re free spirits, we feel it, say it…. Sorted.
What’s your view on the Music industry today?
Absolute rubbish. Homogenous. Very few can make a living out of it. Only bald tech nerdy twats make money.
Where do you feel you currently sit within the music industry?
Top of the pops, high on top, up with the very crème. We’re the world’s finest.
Whats the biggest thing you have learned recently as you progress with your music?
Don’t drink too much and don’t drink too little. One is very little and two is too much.
What was your best experience on stage?
Getting egged.
What was your worst experience on stage?
Getting egged.
Tell us something about you that you think people would be surprised about.
We all have other non-musical jobs. We fight crime.
I hear you have new music. What can you tell us about it?
It’s the thing you’ve been waiting for a long time, a spiritual experience.
What was the recording process like?
Long and hard… that’s what she said!
What was the biggest learning curve in writing the new tunes?
We’re all people of vast musical knowledge, so it’s a steep learning curve having to go inside ourselves and investigate all that’s within.
Would you change anything now it’s finished?
No, once it’s done it’s done.
Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?
Buy music, support musicians. Fuck tech feudalism. Buy music.
