What made you decide to start the band?

No one was making music that we liked so we decided to write some for oursepves

Introduce us all to the members and your musical history?

We’re a 5 piece band, singer Harry Keane, guitarist Charlie Smith, drummer Matt Walmsley, guitarist Jack Rawlings and bassist Max Williams. We’ve been in bands since we were kids. We’ve sung on Glastonbury headliners records, played on the indigo stage in the o2 arena and have shows supporting big bands across the country.

What’s your favourite song right now from another band currently on your local circuit?

We record in cube studio in Cornwall where Tom Meighans recording his first solo album. We’ve heard the music they’ve made and it is ginormous and is by far the best thing we’ve heard locally.

Do you sign up to any conspiracy theories?

Absolutely. Moth man. Oh and also aliens created us 300 years ago and implanted the idea of history into out minds…nothing is real.

What support is out there for new artists in Plymouth?

Plymouth has a brilliant company, Live Sound Promotions which is run by Jamie Symons who is a legend in the local scene.

What was the most fun you have had on stage?

Out of all the shows we’ve played in other bands, last Friday we had a local show at The Junction in Plymouth which had a serious amount of energy, the place was packed and jumping. That crowd gave us the most enjoyable show we’ve ever played.

What was the worst experience on stage?

Some punter got up on stage and threw up on Harry’s shoes. That was nasty.

Tell us something about each member that you think people would be surprised about?

  • Harrys related to Sir Francis drake
  • Matt wishes he was a power ranger, specifically the pink one. He has the helmet.
  • Max believes he’s a cat
  • No one knows Charlie’s natural hair colour
  • Jack had a breakdown over the 1st lockdown and shaved off every hair from his body, apart from his mutton chops.

Tell us a funny story from backstage?

Our sound guy once fell of the stage pulling all off all the wedges and mics with him. That was pretty funny

Which one of the band is the biggest nightmare? (Just a bit of fun)

It’s always the drummer, right?

You have one phone call and you have been locked up for a crime you didn’t commit? Which member would you call first?

Harry, he has the most money to bail us out.

What advice would you give someone going into the music industry?

When releasing music, use a PR company. We didn’t have a clue what we were doing and Music Gateway sorted us out getting us on playlists, running ads and radio promo. Also, remember to upload your latest songs to the BBC introducing Uploader.

Whats your biggest achievement as a band?

Supporting As December Falls on their sold out tour is a pretty big deal for us as we’ve only been together for a few months.

What makes you stand out as a band?

I’ve never heard of another band who performs in jock straps

Right now, whats pissing you of the most? (Cant say the virus )

As I’m typing this I’m watching the last f1 race of the season. Lewis Hamilton not being made to give track position back to Max Verstappen has pissed me off quite a lot tbh

Tell us about a time when you had a proper reyt laugh while you were all together?

Going out in Perranporth whilst recording. Doubt we’ll be allowed back. And 5 guys, one bedroom and a lot of alcohol, what could go wrong?

Whats your favourite song to play live and why?

Otherside, you can’t beat hearing fans singing your own songs.

I hear you have a new EP, what can you tell us about it?

It slaps. Harry wanted to record a couple songs he had written on his birthday weekend so he asked some of his mates and old band members to go with him. We all went to the studio, recorded 2 tracks and left the studio as a band. The songs sounded so huge that we couldn’t waste the opportunity so we came back and recorded 3 more.

Talk me through the thought process of the EP?

We just wanted to have some fun, not much thought went into it to be honest!

What was the recording process like?

It was basically a holiday. Just non stop laughter and met some incredibly talented people down at cube recording studio.

What was the biggest learning curve in writing the EP?

Releasing music takes a lot longer than you’d imagine. It’s not just the case of going to a studio, recording songs and releasing them. There’s a lot more admin which has to be done.

Would you change anything now its finished?

Absolutely not

What are your plans for the year ahead

Cashing cheques and breaking necks 🤘

Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?

The EP’s out now but there’s more to come and it’s coming soon.
