What made you decide to start the band / become a soloist?

I feel that I’ve always belonged in a creative space. Regardless of classes I took, sports I played, I always found the most comfort in music and writing.

Looking back on it, it’s kind of crazy. Like I find it hard to believe that this is my life right now. I started off as a pre-med student in college, and haven’t touched a guitar really in years. Then almost failed chemistry a second time my sophomore year and said “Nope, this ain’t it”.  Immediately went back to my dorm and started writing song lyrics and never looked back.

I had this sort of strange, insane bravery to just go for it, regardless of what anyone said or the odds of it, I just started and never looked behind me. A bunch of friends I made in the dorms heard me singing in the halls and said I could “hold a tune” and I loved writing so, why not combine the two? It’s funny because without those people giving me that initial confidence back then, I probably wouldn’t be doing it at all. I owe so much to them.

Introduce us you and your musical history?

My name is Noah Richardson and I’m a 23 year old music artist out of Philadelphia. I was introduced to guitar when I was around 7 or so… not really doing much with it except learning a couple chords and songs on the radio I liked. I started singing when I did a musical called ‘Godspell’ as a kid (still one of my absolute favorites to this day). I loved singing and performing but got kind of “bullied” out of it so, all I did was sing in the car or with my brother in our room.

Do you sign up to any conspiracy theories?

There are a lot of mattress firms out there right?????

What useless party trick do you have?

I have this one I do all the time, where you stack two beer bottles on top of each other and put a dollar bill in between. The goal is to snatch the dollar bill without the top bottle falling… really fun but make sure you don’t let anything break hahhaha.

What was the most fun you have had on stage?

Even though I was super nervous, we had my first sold-out show in Philly that everyone was just on a different level. Anytime you can interact with the crowd like that and get everyone singing back to you it’s beautiful. Just a room full of people, sharing the beauty of live performance and music. That’s the goal every time.

What was the worst experience on stage?

There’s definitely times I’ve just blacked out and kind of went auto-pilot. That’s not fun at all.

Tell us something about you / each member that you think people would be surprised about?

Uhhhh basically I grew up in a funeral home. Yeah, I set up a studio in my basement and recorded/wrote most of the songs I’ve ever written down there. I love seeing people’s reaction to finding this out too hahahha.

What makes you stand out as an Artist?

I think my versatility for sure. I love all types of art and music and I feel I’m able to use whatever tools at my disposal to express myself. I can write an acoustic folk song, to an rnb love song, or even rap… idk I don’t think there should be a limit to expressing yourself musically/artistically. However, it comes out is the way it’s supposed to.

Right now, what’s pissing you of the most? (Can’t say the virus )

Honestly dude, this cold weather. It was cute for a second but I’m over it now. Can’t even get in my car without wanting to die.

What’s your favourite song to play live and why?

My favorite song to play live is one called “i guess it could be worse” started off as an acoustic-style rap I made, but with a full band brings so much energy. Always helps me shake off the jitters and get the blood going.

I hear you have a new single would you change anything now it’s finished?

Oh no, it’s ready.

What are your plans for the year ahead?

This past year I’ve really worked my ass off writing/recording in the studio. I’m extremely blessed to have worked with the beautiful creative minds that I have to make this music and bring these visions into fruition… So aside from shows and events, this new music is what I’m very excited to share with you all.

Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?
