V OF 40M

RGM INTRODUCING – WE INTERVIEW V OF 40M WHAT HAPPENED?

Hi bud, thanks for joining us, let’s go…What was life like for you before music?

In this lifetime, there was no life before music.

What was the first song you heard that steered you into a music path?

Couldn’t tell you what song started the saga but I know Rakim’s “Guess Who’s Back” had me thinking as a kid and by the time I heard Jadakiss’s Son of a Kiss, I was damn near ready to start writing. In the end, Freestyle battling became the rap genesis.

Where do you feel you currently sit within the music industry?

As an anomaly. Unfortunately for our people there are few if any even attempting to do what we’re doing. Every artist and just about every person will say they are different, time will always tell.

What’s the biggest thing you have learned from someone else in the industry?

To stay true.

Tell us Two truths and a lie about you.

All I got is the truth, I am a revolutionist and a revolutionary.

If you could wish for one thing to aid your career what would it be?

$40M in cash or non-depreciating assets easily liquidated.

Do you ever worry about people taking things the wrong way or cancel culture? Discuss….

Never, with what we’re doing – it’s automatic. Any time “Blacks”, or Melanites as we will eventually be called, attempt to become independent, autonomous, self determined, self sufficient or any thing of sort – somebody is going to have a problem with it. It was true 100 plus years ago, 50 years ago and it’s just as true today as it’s ever been. The opps have done any and everything at their disposal to shut us down, just look at his-story. People’s personal opinions and cancel culture should mean nothing to a people’s natural born right to autonomy.

Do you sign up to any conspiracy theories? If not why not?

When a person adds “conspiracy” to anything nowadays it loses credibility.

What was the worst experience on stage?

None to speak of.

Tell us something about you that you think people would be surprised about.

That we are not a hate group in any shape or form. True black power doesn’t mean anti everybody else nor anybody else.

What are the next steps you plan to take as a band to reach the next level?

We’re not a band but as far as the movement, continue to tap in with our people in the most effective ways possible.

Whats your thoughts on Elon Musks contribution to the world?

Don’t know much about him but as far as I know his family’s wealth is connected to Apartheid South Africa. To us he just seems like another rich white man who’s benefited off the disenfranchisement and exploitation of our people.

I hear you have a new music, what can you tell us about it.

The Score, featuring 40M Tye and Hippie G – Big M s***! Vid coming soon, song currently available on all platforms. Revolutionary rap only, heavy!

What was the biggest learning curve in writing the new tunes?

Stepping out of a more complex style into something more simplistic when necessary. Like the song says, sometimes more is less and sometimes less is more.

Would you change anything now it’s finished?

Yeah, some of the mixing adjustments that were made.

Is there anything else you would like to share with the world?
