Death By Piano – ‘Emergency’

Brooklyn Duo, Death By Piano, have recently released their cinematic single, ‘Emergency’, a bewitching return, jingling with these times of crisis. ‘Emergency’ is as melancholy and menacing as it is haunting and harrowing. The piece is centred around vocalists Kalen and Greywolf’s icy vocals which complement each other wonderfully.

Thumper – ‘Topher Grace’

Ireland rockers Thumper have released their latest single, ‘Topher Grace’. Written about self-destruction, disguised as a voyage of self-reflection. ‘Topher Grace’, sees the band free themselves from their typical song writing crutches like tone and melody, and replace them with a different approach in terms of lyric writing and performance.

Regent – Time To Loose The Blues

Regent frontman, Ben Rooke, wears his heart on his sleeve in their new single, ‘Time To Loose The Blues’, with an anthemic chorus reminiscent of those of the early 90’s. The Southampton quartet’s third single finds them in fighting form. The track was written and recorded in 2018, forged from anger, confusion and sadness as the band came to terms with the death of their manager, Bruce Replolge. After sitting with the release for over a year, giving the band to reflect, Regent have released ‘Time To Loose The Blues’ and it’s powerfully meaningful.

Phantom Isle – MAR V

New wave band Phantom Isle are revealing their incredibly danceable new single, ‘MAR V’, this week. Hypnotic synth lines mix gorgeously with the mysterious atmosphere of this track, ‘MAR V’ sees Phantom Isle stray away from their art-pop origins, and they do so with huge success, highlighting their ability to mix genres for a maximum impact.

James Humphrys – Memory Palace

Bristol based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist James Humphrys is to release his second EP, ‘Memory Palace’ on the 10th of July. ‘Memory Palace’ consists of 4 songs, all written and recorded in Alaska, whilst James was working on a cruise ship, and shines a spotlight on James’ ability to create genre-binding anthems which are full of positivity, uplifting the listener.

The Lotts – We Are The Lotts
