Tarraska – Trailblazer

Tarraska storm onto the scene with their energetic debut ‘Trailblazer‘. Started out back in 2014 as an acoustic outfit to begin with, the sound of Tarraska has grown into a beast within the hard-rock world.

Written by Jack Lande and Ben Parker of the band, the track was recorded and mixed at Absolute Studios and GMMix in Bournemouth by Gareth Matthews. Produced by the band and Gareth Matthews, the mastered by completed by Grant Berry at Fader Mastering.

Telling the story of someone being looked down on, the track feels confident and armed with independence. You’d think it would soar with vulnerability due to the context of the lyrics, but the instrumentation is energetic and hard to be ignored. Demanding a heavy sound to today’s hectic industry, ‘Trailblazer’ is a track for the outcasts of the modern world.

Drawing inspiration from the hard rock music scene, there’s something about this track that instantly makes it feel like a classic. A track that feels like it should have been made in the 80s, it’s sad that today’s world may not appreciate it as much as they should.

With it’s arrangement flying back to nostalgic eras, the classic rock sound identifies as Tarraska’s own. ‘Trailblazer‘ may loosely feel mature in today’s modern rock sound, but it’s a reassuring message and sound showcases that hard rock is simply far from over.
