Hailing from Coventry, The Institutes are a fairly new band with a lot of potential in their future. As a quartet, they’ve wasted no time in creating their anthemic sound. Currently embarking on a UK tour, the band are set to play in cities such as London, Manchester and Liverpool to name a few. Appealing to a brit pop mixed with an alternative attitude, the rising collective showcase a mesmerising take on both genres head first.
With support from the BBC, the second single is set to become a strong contender in their catalogue. Known for creating a buzz at live shows, they use a beautiful blend of melodies with a glistening arrangement. As for the production on the single,
It’s in your face and can’t be ignored. Confirming the stadium rock feel of the band, they have huge amounts of energy within their music which is always a plus.
We’re hoping there’s more to come from the band soon, they’ve got the momentum of something special brewing. Creative and with a killer rhythm section behind their music feels quite intimate even though it’s loud. If you’re into explosive indie rock, this is right up your street.
