BRUISE CONTROL

THE JACARANDA LIVERPOOL GETS BRUISED – WHAT WENT DOWN?

Its a one off album release gig at the Jacaranda basement in Liverpool. Bruise Control are doing a solo early evening gig part of a mini tour to hype up sales of their latest release.

Its a packed, sweaty and mobile audience. Bruise Control have hit a deep vein in the punk and rock audiences and they demand a large turnout at every gig. They are worth seeing. A mixture of loud good songs, great musicianship and a commanding stage presence, and that something extra.

What you get behind the frantic spot on drums and rumbling bass guitar is some fantastic guitar work that bounces from hard rock stylings with plenty of almost Sabbath like riffing to some major post punk artistry. There’s plenty of precise but loose lead work and blasts of sheer stooges meets AC/DC rhythm work. All this gives the vocalist a solid platform to launch what can only be described as as an all out assault on the audience. The melodies are there with a Lemmy twang and an unmissable ‘Born T’ Lose’ tattoo.

Its a hard sound Bruise Control throw out, non stop, loud and furious with moments of catching their breath then back into the heaving crowd with another belter. Heavy, fun and worth experiencing live.
