ROBBIE WILLIAMS
What an incredible year for Robbie Williams.
He’s been a staple name in the music industry for years, but this year saw the biopic film “Better Man” release in cinemas to the public, alongside the album soundtrack (which reached to number 1 in the UK album chart on it’s debut!), an art exhibition in London, the release of his thirteenth studio album “Britpop” and a headline tour of the same name worldwide, a massive tour, that’s not even finished yet and carrying on into 2026!
He also recently surprised 94-year-old Norma, who went viral after expressing her love of Robbie Williams to one of the coaches at her care home, what came out of it was a Zoom call with Robbie Williams himself! A very heartwarming end to 2025.

RED RUM CLUB
The Liverpool band who never seem to stop touring – but if the demand is there, then they’re clearly doing something right!
They’ve played more than 70 gigs across their tour, support and festivals WORLDWIDE.
That’s bloody impressive!
Alongside this, they’ve released their fifth studio album “Buck” which has received phenomonal reviews and they’ve already announced a 2026 tour across the UK for Independent Venue Week at the end of January – which near enough sold-out immediately.
Plus they’re going back over the USA (again!) in the Spring of 2026, they’ve also had a mad collaboration with Bongo’s Bingo and announced more big gigs in their home city of Liverpool for next year.
It’s clear they’re not slowing down anytime soon and there’s no protests here.

CHAPPELL ROAN
How can anyone not mention THAT Leeds and Reading Festival headline slot?
Chappell Roan has expressed herself in so many ways that many would be afraid to do, through fashion, statements and of course, music,
2025 saw the release of successful singles “The Giver” and “The Subway” which reached number 2 and number 1 on the UK singles chart respectfully.
Before the year even started, Chappell Roan was named winner of the BBC Sound of 2025 award, and she also won “Best New Artist” at the 2025 Grammy Awards, calling out for better support and wages for artists across the music industry, especially those just starting out.
Alongside this, she was part of the launch of the “The Midwest Princess Project” a charity made to support trans youth and LGBTQ+ communities.
2026 is already looking promising, with a potential album in the works and shows across South America, Australia and New Zealand already announced, we’re ready for whatever comes next!

AMYL AND THE SNIFFERS
The first thing that comes to mind when you hear the name Amyl and the Sniffers? Pure energy, attitude and authenticity that you cannot help but be proud of.
2025 has seen multiple awards for Amyl and the Sniffers, with them dominating the 2025 ARIA Awards, taking home four of the six nominated awards, whilst also picking up “Double J Artist of the Year” at the J Awards, two awards at the Rolling Stone Australia Awards and shortlisted across many others, including the Brits.
Alongside this, they’ve supported rock legends AC/DC this year, some massive shows, a Grammy nomination for 2026 and a HUGE tour across America, Canada, Europe and the UK – all of this whilst releasing new music too.
A standout? When a huge show got cancelled in Australia, Amyl and the Sniffers put $35,000 across seven different bars in Melbourne for people to have a drink and a good time, an utter masterclass in class.

RIANNE DOWNEY
In recent years, you may know Rianne Downey from joining Paul Heaton on many collaborations and The Housemartins/Beautiful South tracks live, but she’s been grafting away at her solo career too.
2025 saw Rianne release her debut album, “The Consequence of Love”, alongside some singles off the album on the run-up to it’s release.
Rianne also went on her own headline tour across the UK and Ireland, a few of which sold out, and she also joined Paul Heaton for the huge gig at Bramall Lane in Sheffield.
Alongside this, she’s supported the likes of Tom Grennan and played at big festivals like TRNSMT and Glastonbury, with some festivals and gigs already announced for 2026.
Rianne’s come a long way this year and it’s brilliant to see her years of hard work paying off.

THE REYTONS
2025 was a fantastic year for Rotherham’s the Reytons.
Still sticking firmly to their roots, getting stuck in and doing what they do best, bending the rules and doing it their own way, they have got such admirable work ethic and it shows, it also, very evidently, pays off.
The Reytons made history in 2025, becoming the first unsigned band to headline the Tramlines Main Stage and my god, did they do it in an incredible fashion.
Alongside this, they took fans down to Wembley Arena, started 2025 with a tour, popped up and down the UK doing gigs, dropping a late EP (which if I do say so myself, is fantastic) and despite their success, still connecting with their fans on a genuine, down-to-earth level, building a real community.
I can confidently say they’re not done yet, I can’t predict what’s coming up, but I know it’ll be big, it’ll be fun and it’ll be loud – WARAW?
Carl had the chance to catch up with the lads ahead of their historical Tramlines set this year, see what they had to say:

OLIVIA DEAN
Dreamy collaborations, new music and film soundtrack recognition? What a dream!
Except, it was Olivia Dean’s reality this year, in what has been a real breakthrough year for Olivia Dean, with the release of her second studio album “The Art of Loving” debuting at number 1 on the UK album chart, as well as the single “Man I Need” also debuting number 1 on the UK singles chart.
Olivia has also broken a UK Chart record this year, having four singles simultaneously in the Official UK Top 10 singles chart, bloody good work!
Her track “It Isn’t Perfect But It Might Be” appeared on the Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy Soundtrack, which complimented the film beautifully.
Plus, her performances supporting Sam Fender were phenomonal, and led to the collaboration of Sam’s original track “Rein Me In” – the version none of us knew we needed!
Olivia Dean has had recognition all over the world this year and already announced a headline tour for 2026, incredible stuff.

SAM FENDER
A new album, a string of sell-out stadium shows, a sell-out tour, some incredible collaborations and a headline at Wythenshaw Park, Sam Fender has so much to shout about in 2025.
The shows at St. James Park were particularly special, more so because it was on home turf and it meant something to Sam and the band, the atmosphere was incredible.
“People Watching” is Sam’s best album yet, it brought raw emotion, experience and relatability to the table, through some difficult themes and messages but penned and created beautifully, even more so hearing it live.
The community of Sam Fender fans was already big, but it’s got even better this year and I feel like Sam has really settled into his sound and it’s brilliant to see him doing so well.
Who knows what 2026 will bring, at Wythenshaw Park, he teased even more new music!
But we’ll have to wait and see…

THE CLAUSE
Another breakthrough year for a fantastic band.
Birmingham’s The Clause have really shown up this year, starting as mates in school, to now selling out gigs up and down the country and after what feels like forever, realising their debut album “Victim Of A Casual Thing” which earnt the number 1 spot on the UK Independent Album Chart and number 20 on the UK Album chart, it’s something to be admired.
They’ve packed out festival tents, sold out the o2 Academy in Birmingham and also embarked on their own headline tour in 2025, with more to come for Independent Venue Week in 2026, plus further touring across the UK and Europe already confirmed for 2026 too.
They’re incredibly down-to-earth, have excellent stage presence and charisma and they have shown appreciation for their fanbase and those who have given them opportunities, including raffling off artwork and buying food for their local foodbank in Birmingham.
The Clause has brought class, charisma and fun to 2025 and may that long continue.

OASIS
Love them or hate them, you cannot deny how much of an impact Oasis have made across the music industry, the Oasis Live 25′ tour was something to behold and will go down in history as one of the most iconic reunions of all time.
Whether you were at Wembley, Heaton Park, Cardiff or anywhere else across the Live 25′ Map, Oasis was the gift that just kept on giving.
Despite the challenges with tickets for some (myself included until late!) the experience it gave to thousands was unmatched, with friends, strangers, family, all brought together with the love of Oasis’ tunes – even more heartwarming to see Liam and Noel walk on stage, laugh and perform together again, the world was that bit better for Oasis fans this year.
A sell-out worldwide tour is one thing, but they released live versions of their classic tracks, reminisced and brought fans together, whether you wanted to do the Poznan or not.
I’m personally satisfied if that’s it, as adored the day I saw them in Heaton Park in July 2025, but I would never turn down the opportunity to experience that again – what a year for Oasis!
“The love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten”.
