ROLLA

Rolla are one of those Manchester bands that feel like they’ve taken the year by storm.
Headlining Manchesters New Centre Hall is a massive achievement for the lads.
They’ve brought out some brilliant tunes too.
Rolla onto 2026 lads! 🙂

MAT HOOK

Mat Hook has some massive success with Kartica through the years but this year he decided to go Solo!
No mean feat.
He’s a really talented songwriter and has had a class year, selling out the Foundry in Sheffield and headlining the RGM Tramlines stage to name a couple of highlights, we predict big things from him in the coming years!

SPANGLED

Aside from Spangled being one of my favourite words (it’s funny alright…), this band is a name I keep hearing more and more, which means they’re impressing people, RGM HQ included.
This year has seen them back in the studio, teasing some new music for 2026, announcing some great shows for the year ahead already and generally just being brilliant musicians.
Their mixed genre of post-punk indie is something to behold and worth seeing live, there’s plenty of opportunity to do so in 2026, so what are you waiting for?

If you fancy a little throwback, some laughs and more with Spangled, check out their 2022 interview on the RGM Podcast:

LOLA WILD

What an incredible voice!
Lola Wild has brought an enchanting mix of indie, folk and dreamy pop into the mix this year, with new music like “Girls in Hollywood”, one of the five singles on her EP “Lost Signal”.
Lola brings poise, class and moves to the table, all while making it look easy (it’s probably not easy!).
She’s hailed some impressive listening figures for this year too, so I’m expecting more success for Lola in 2026.

MEGAN WYN

Megan has taken her act to a new level this year, building a great band and team around her, taking a more professional, planned and sustainable approach to releasing records thats been interesting to watch and caught our attention!
If you havent heard her tunes yet, what you waiting for?

PULP

One of Sheffield and South Yorkshire’s finest, for many years.
This year saw them headline the Friday night of home city festival Tramlines, with many a track on the setlist not heard live for some time, plus the band celebrated 30 years of that legendary album “Different Class”, which also meant 30 years of fan favourite tracks like “Common People” and “Disco 2000”.
Alongside this, they made a surprise appearance at Glastonbury, labelled on the lineup as “Patchwork” and also released new music and a new album, after a quiet couple of years (bar their tour two years ago), Pulp have made some serious noise this year.

HARRIET ROSE

What a year Harriet has had, establishing herself on the Festival circuit, touring relentlessly, on her own accord and supporting some impressive names like The Clause, Nell Mescal and Connie Talbot to name a few!
Harriet has put herself out there and is constantly upping her game, we see your graft Harriet and appreciate all the hard work you are putting into your music.
In 2026 she’s still touring! But of course we love to see it, you can check out the dates on offer here.
Go and check out her music, we promise you will love it!

ALRIGHT

The lads from Blackpool and my god are they proud of it (as they should be!) – they’ve really settled into their style this year and have brought so much energy to every stage they’ve played and had people dancing and singing along to their tunes effortlessly.
They’ve secured their slot at This Feeling’s Bridlington By The Sea in April, sold out numerous shows and played some impressive festival sets and released an EP, that’s bloody good going!
I am also now under the impression that frontman Joe is never cold, having never seen him at a gig not wearing shorts, sunglasses and a retro-like thin jacket – I am both impressed and concerned at his ability to handle the cold weather.
Go on lads!

THE SLATES

These lads came to our attention online, through their social media, and when you keep seeing a name pop up, naturally, you become intrigued.
2025 has seen them work through line up changes but that aside they are out there headlining their own tours and recently sold out Leeds Venus The Brudenell, and many other venues around the country.
It’s a massive achievement and thats why they made the list!

SUNBEAM

I feel like Sunbeam have literally gone to level 100 this year, gaining the much-deserved popularity they deserve and rapidly growing their fanbase, it’s been impressive to watch!
They played a sold out hometown show in Whitby with a strong 1000 cap audience, headlined the This Feeling stage at the Isle of Wight Festival with an incredibly strong reception and been recognised on local, regional and national radio stations, alongside playing some brilliant support slots, they are definitely not done yet, watch this space!
