Victorious is celebrating its 9th year and with each year the line up grows whilst price of admission stays low. Last year had Weller,Libertines and one The Prodigy’s final UK headline shows this year they offer up The Specials, Two Door Cinema Club, Rudimental, Bloc Party, New Order and dozens of other great artists over 3 days on the Hampshire sea side.
The five acts that you can’t miss this year are: Doves who have returned after a 9 year hiatus and are one of the most consistent indie acts of the last two decades including this bit of genius.
Idlewild have also made a recent comeback and with their latest album Interview Music have proved that they are still moving forward creatively and includes the incredible ‘All These Words’.
All Saints have been dismissed by some as a lesser Spice Girls but take a listen of their best of and you’d be surprised of how many quality singles they have in their arsenal, including the unforgettable ‘Pure Shores’.
Plastic Mermaids hail from the Isle of Wight and have been compared to the island version of The Flaming Lips and The Beta Band, they are the perfect DIY band who write and produce their tracks as well as making wonderful videos to accompany many of their tracks. Their best video being for their former single ‘Polaroids’.
Miles Hunt & Erica Nockalls will be doing an acoustic set that will include their own material as well a few Wonderstuff classics, hopefully the live favourite ‘Sing The Absurd’.
The tickets or more information for The Victorious Festival click here. Day tickets start from around £40 to £125 for the weekend. Which is pretty almost half the price of festivals that just feature local bands and a cider tent.
