It’s RGM video premiere time, today we have the new video from The Kellows and their new video Eve.
The video was filmed in one day at Wentworth woodhouse. Wentworth woodhouse is one of the largest stately homes in europe. I ( Will ) was doing a favor for someone who worked at Wentworth Woodhouse and we got talking about music and the band and Lorraine who works at Wentworth invited us to come do a music video at the house. Then, while planning,
I was talking to a videographer I know ( Brett ) about advice on how to film it well and he offered to film it for us to help me out. The shoot lasted around 6 hours with around 10 scenes and we used a wide variety of the rooms in the house including being allowed access to the basement to film there. Eve was written about the general concept of the longing and desire for a girl that almost seems unattainable to you.
It plays on the insecurities and vulnerabilities of the human ego when presented with a female objective, giving the feeling of regret and want. This is contrasted by the chorus which gives a more hopeful tone and positive idea of the quest to be with someone so desperately which was the main objective of the song, to show two differing options and outlooks on love. The song was recorded at 2fly studios in Sheffield by Alan Smyth.
