It’s RGM video premiere time, today we have the new video from The Radio Addicts and their new video Scroll My Life Away.
Here are a few words about the video, enjoy!👊
The song is 3 minutes 40 seconds of indie rock and roll bursting with the angst and boredom of youth, and is a reflection and self critique of missed opportunities and wasted time, while staring at a mobile phone screen, Scrolling. It puts to music the modern day curse of too much time on our phones, Scrolling Our Lives Away.
For the video the band asked supporters to send them short clips of themselves scrolling their lives away on their phones to be included, there were hundreds sent in, way too many sent in to include everyone unfortunately, but it does includes clips of loads of the bands supporters scrolling on their phones in homage to the theme of Scroll My Life Away. Also keep your eyes peeled for cameos from: Indie rock scene friends Jonny Blade, Jacob Reddy, Harrison from The Falls, Cobain Jones, Lydia Reddy and Owen from After All music.
Here is a quote from Luke Cardwell for including: “The song is about how we are all losing our minds to social media and our attention spans are getting shorter and shorter, probably until eventually we are all no better at concentrating than goldfish! We’re as guilty as everyone else for Scrolling Our Lives Away and this song is a reflection on that and a reminder that there is way more to life than TikTok and doom scrolling.”
