It’s RGM video premiere time, today we have the new video from Tillerman and their new video Summer of ’96 .
Here are a few words about the video, enjoy!👊
Taking inspiration from the playful energy of a classic rock anthem, ‘Summer of ’96’ transports listeners back to a defining moment when Euro ’96 brought football fever to living rooms across the nation, and BritPop ruled the airwaves with Oasis, Blur, and The Verve dominating the charts. The track brilliantly weaves together these cultural touchstones alongside references to cult British television that shaped an entire generation’s teenage memories.
But beneath the nostalgia lies a deeply relatable narrative – a fictitious yet universal love story that captures the essence of youth, first love, and those precious moments spent together that define who we become. Like a modern-day musical romance, the song builds to its anthemic chorus refrain: “You spent the Summer of ’96 with me!” – a line that encapsulates both a specific time and the timeless feeling of young love.
‘Summer of ’96’ proves that Tillerman has mastered the art of blending cultural nostalgia with genuine emotional storytelling, creating a track that resonates with anyone who remembers their own defining summer – whether it was in 1996 or any other year that changed their life.
