Youth Killed It - AI Killer

VIDEO PREMIERE – WE HAVE THE NEW VIDEO FROM YOUTH KILLED IT – AI KILLER

It’s RGM video premiere time, today we have the new video from Youth Killed it and their new video AI Killer.

Here are a few words about the video, enjoy!👊

The video was directed and edited by Sam J Lance.

The music video centres on singer Jack, who is living at home with a robot. Despite this futuristic setup, Jack ends up doing all the household chores while the robot relaxes. He later brings the robot along to the band’s rehearsal, where the rest of the group are uneasy and clearly suspicious of the idea that robots might be taking over. During the performance scenes, the robot repeatedly tries to show the band how to play their instruments, which only adds to the tension. The video ends with Jack and the robot alone together, reflecting the closing lyric that he is always nice to computers, right up until he pulls the plug.

AI Killer is a witty, anxious, and strangely heartfelt acoustic track that leans into the cultural panic around artificial intelligence, job loss, and creative identity. Written with tongue firmly in cheek, the song blends dry humour with genuine unease, capturing the strange moment we are living through, where technology is both a miracle and an existential threat.

Built around stripped-back acoustic guitar and a nod to the raw, melodic energy of early Youth Killed It, the track feels deliberately human. It is vulnerable, slightly scrappy, and emotionally direct, a conscious contrast to the cold efficiency of the technology it is singing about. The simplicity of the production gives space for the lyrics to take centre stage, letting the narrative unfold with clarity and personality.

Lyrically, “AI Killer” explores the fear of being replaced, the fragility of creative identity, and the surreal reality of competing with algorithms. Lines like “Creativity was meant to be my immortality” reflect the anxiety of artists facing a world where originality itself feels under threat, while pop culture references and dark humour keep the tone playful and self-aware.
