We Premiere the new video from John Ellwand – Roots of love

Welcome to a brand new Video Premiere, today we have the new video from John Ellwand and Roots of love, ENJOY👊

Here are a few words from the artist.

“So going into production, I was fortunate enough to have a great team help me film exactly what I was going for. It consisted of my Brother “James Harrison” and his girlfriend “Laura Tickle” who both were filming on two Kimble cameras and using these amazing old 1970s film lights, that Laura’s uncle used back in the day when he was a photographer.

In the music video I had the pleasure of working with one of my long-time friends “Peet Walsh” who Co- Starred along side me on guitar, he’s also a great photographer and he also was able capture some great stills on the day.
The location was a old Georgian house just off the main street in Liverpool called Smithdown Road. It was a building site that had been completely stripped back to the brickwork, it was soon to be turned into student accommodation. Looking around I knew it would be a great location for the vibe I was going for. I called in a favour from a good friend in the trade who let me use it for the weekend.

Filming I knew I wanted it to feel like a British Hammer Horror with an 80’s B – movie vibe. I feel we nailed that, I think half the battle is having a frim idea of what it is you want to create. You have to be creative, throw things at the wall, and see what sticks. Are rule on the day was less is more, I believe the visuals really aid the song’s grittiness, giving it another dimension. I really hope the viewers enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it. I’m super proud of this one, and proud of everyone involved, can’t wait for everyone to watch it.” – John Ellwand
