WE PREMIERE THE NEW VIDEO FROM DAN ARMSTRONG FEATURING SARAH B LADYBNOW – HELP ME PLEASE

RGM are hugely pleased to be able to exclusively premiere the track below. Here are a few words from the artists about the video and tune, enjoy!

“Sarah and I have a really effective workflow – invariably starting with either a vocal idea or some type of basic backing, the writing process always comes first: the production seals the deal. There’s always a lot of exchange of ideas and the resulting end-products tend to materialise quite quickly.

The song, “Help Me Please” originated from this same workflow – a vocal melody that is a reflection on the final stages of relationship breakdown. It’s about the emotions experienced and the introspective impact from decisions made at the time.

The twist was to make it bitter/sweet with the addition of quite a pop/electronic-based production, although the song’s piano chords were always meant to empathise with the sentiment of the lyrics. The dynamics of the track were carefully and sympathetically structured so the synths worked with the emotive vocals and harmonies.

The video came together based on finding lyrically-relatable images: the sense of soul-searching after the trauma of a relationship ending badly.”
